The Bill Zoellner Memorial CROP Walk

"for I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you welcomed me"   Matthew 25:35

Each fall, PRCC joins with walkers from area churches to participate in the Niles / Park Ridge CROP Hunger Walk.

This year's Chicago area CROP Walk will take place on October 16th. We will walk from St. Andrews Lutheran Church (260 N. Northwest Highway) starting at 1:15pm.

You can register to walk or donate at:

crophungerwalk.org/nilesil. Look for the Park Ridge Community team! Our goal this year is to have 60 walkers of all ages raising $12,000!

You can also support the Niles-Park Ridge Crop Walk at two Fund-Raising events in October: Oct. 6th 5:00-8:00 PM at Portillo's, and Oct. 13th 11:00 AM - 9:00 PM at Harp & Fiddle.

This year, we are walking in loving memory of our beloved member, Bill Zoellner. Bill walked many of our Crop Walks even while going through personal health challenges.

25 percent of the funds raised stay in our community, supporting the Maine Township Food Pantry. The remaining dollars are distributed worldwide to charities focusing on disasters, hunger relief and water purification projects.

Regardless of its size, your gift can have an impact around the corner and around the globe. Here are 3 examples of what your gifts can accomplish:

$10 of groceries:

U.S. Food banks can distribute $10 worth of groceries for every $1 given to them.

150 meals: $50 in donations can be transformed into 150 meals at an area food bank.

Clean Water: $1000 provides a pump to give a community access to clean water & training to sustain it.
